I have been writing custom computer software professionally since 1988. From December 1995 to January 2002, I worked for a small consulting firm where I had the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects for clients with many different needs.

My role in projects has at some times been the sole designer/developer or, at other times, technical lead of 4 and 5 person teams. In team situations, in addition to providing the technical leadership, my duties would include project management tasks such as work estimation, progress assessment and task assignment. In all cases I was responsible for direct interaction with clients in order to assess needs and report progress.
